Diary entry 25.01.11

Before stitching my ruffle onto my garment I needed to attach the rest of my garment together. I cut the pattern pieces out in calico and stitched the front and back pieces together. I then began altering my slave pattern piece.

As I wanted to do a rolled up sleeve fastened by the same buttons used on the back on my shirt I kept the shirt sleeve long leaving enough fabric to roll up twice. I then stitched the sleeve into the arm hole.

Putting my sleeve into my shirt was very difficult and caused gathering meaning I needed to then refer back to my pattern piece.
