LBD construction- Metal

I then needed to figure out what size hole to use for my press studs. I tried a few different sizes on some scrap leather (image 1) to ensure I was getting the perfect size hole. The then tested it with the press stud (image 2). It was difficult to get the holes in the leather due to it being very tough.

I then measured the straps to ensure all of my holes were equal. I pressed the holes in all 4 of my pieces (image 3). Again the leather was very tough but the holes needed to be neat and precise therefore found twisting created a neater hole. I then put one side of the press studs in the leather straps. This was easy to do due to having the hole already there, which was a benefit of putting the holes in by hand.

To finish off my belt I then put the other side of the press stud in place. I decided to have two different pairs of press studs to allow an adjustment on my strap as well as it fitting in my with overall look for the belt it. After completing my belt I think it was a complete success and I think alongside the rest of my dress it is really going to achieve the look I wanted.
