The top and bottom circle were then joined together by the side bars to create the basic shape. After doing this I realised having the curved edged it was causing balance issues and making the overall design look messy and uneven (image 4). To resolve the issue I decided to use straight edges for the sides and just slot the circles over the outside to create a more ordered neat finish (image 5).The circles were then welded in place. This was difficult to get the circles straight and balanced so I used the weights again to create a flat even overall look.
The circles were then welded together (image 1). The metal was weighed down to keep it in place (image 2). The circles were sometimes difficult to weld together due to the metal springing back and not being in exactly the right place to make a perfect circle.
