LBD construction- Metal

Before making my metal structure I decided to create 2 mock up designs which would give me an idea on the weight of the structure and how I was going to make it. The first structure that I made was too heavy, therefore I made structure 2 which worked better as it was lighter and reflected my design more (image 2).

I then decided to draw a sketch to try and get a basic idea of what I wanted to create (image 2). I added some measurements in to get a basic idea for what size it was going to be. It was difficult to get measurements but I took basic measurements using the mock up metal structures to get the right fit.

The metal was then cut (image 4) and rolled to create the circles ready for the layers on the skirt (image 5). The metal was quite tough to roll into circles due to it being quite difficult to actually get a perfect circle ready for welding. Each circle needed to be rolled 5 to 10 times to try and get the right shape. Gloves were worn for protection due to it being quite strenuous and tough on my hands (image 6).
