FMP- finished dress

Final dresss!!!!
I have finally finished my final major dress for second year. I am really pleased with the overall look of the dress I think it is very appropriate to my boutique market level. I think it is very unique and represents my concept well but it also has a commercial element to it!

Negotiated project

For my file for my negotiated project I decided to do numerous boards to show my development. Here are a look at some of the boards

I then stitched together my lining. I decided to put boning in my lining because I thought it would create a better overall finish. I then stitched my lining into my dress.

Overall I am pleased with look. I had to change the wings on the back to create a neater finish on the dress, I still think it reflects my theme really well.

These are some of my edited shots, I am really pleased with them I love how the hair stands out yet it still looks quite dark and creates the effect I wanted.

FMP!

I have started on my final dress after completing my toile and editing my pattern this week. I began by cutting out my pattern pieces, but before I could begin construction i needed to figure out my embroidery. I have done many tests for my embroidery and started by drawing my butterfly then putting it on illustrator. I then transferred it onto deco studio to put onto the embroidery machine. These are some examples of the tests I did.

LBD Photoshoot

I have just received my photos for my little black dress project I have selected 9 photos which i am going to edit and play around with numerous effects. Throughout the photo shoot it was very difficult to get the shots due to doing the shoot on the beach. It was not in a controlled environment which i think made it more difficult but also more exciting and unique. Overall i am really happy with the shots and i think once there edited they are going to fully reflect my dress. These are my favourite 3.

 

I am really happy with these 3 photos they really show my dress and the setting and portray the exact look i wanted.
